Our Work

Fusion energy has the potential to significantly alter the fight against climate change – but only if we begin implementation now on an accelerated, strategic roadmap to support the development, adoption, and expansion of this zero-carbon, dense, efficient power source.

ECG is engaging NGOs, industry, government, scientists, and individuals to build awareness and support for fusion energy and ensure that the means for rapid development and deployment are in place well before the first commercial fusion devices are built.

Our team’s network and experience allow ECG to provide the necessary structures to connect fusion stakeholders, ECG plays a pivotal role in setting the stage for broad acceptance of fusion, a means for actionable collaboration within energy planning that is essential to the rollout of fusion energy across all relevant power segments, growing fusion’s markets with public support.

Strategic Partnerships

  • Building coalitions with opinion and policy leaders and environmental and public facing NGOs to develop a shared vision for fusion’s addition to our climate and clean energy strategies
  • Fostering far-reaching and transparent discussions about fusion, opening doors for fusion, and creating the means to bridge gaps in understanding that may hinder accelerated advancement of fusion
  • Assisting our partners to develop the internal understanding and acceptance of fusion—a critical step to becoming a public advocacy voice

Education and Outreach

  • Broadening public understanding of fusion’s implications for replacing fossil resources both through access to regulatory planning and advocacy tools, while bringing transparency and clarity to the development of fusion technology
  • Developing a fusion based educational clean energy curriculum for elementary, middle, and high school students
  • Raising awareness about the technology, its applications, and recent milestones
  • Representing society’s engagement in discussions of regulatory, licensing, policy, and deployment questions on the fusion energy horizon
  • Serving as an informational resource for policymakers
  • Developing materials to meet the programmatic needs of our partners and identifying opportunities to include fusion in their projects
  • Lifting up and supporting the voices of young leaders who are stepping up and advancing climate action.

Communications

  • Producing independent, technology-agnostic fusion energy messaging, including easily understood glossaries and supporting FAQs and fusion media index
  • Sharing research, data gathering, and analysis, with targeted partners, clarifying and preparing first markets for fusion within the larger energy ecosystem
  • Collaborating with industry and NGOs on media and presentation materials
  • Developing tools—including white papers, opinion pieces, events, and a social index for assessing the public’s understanding of clean energy technology and fusion awareness
  • Inserting the public face of fusion into climate and clean energy colloquia
